‘Leftie media’ saying the government has ‘nothing to do’ with power bill rise

Sky News host Paul Murray says “apologists in the leftie-media” are already saying the federal government has "nothing to do" with a rise in power bills despite it being a cost of living issue.
The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) said on Thursday it was raising default market offer (DMO) price caps, consequently raising power bills.
“Of course, this would feed straight into cost of living, right? Wasn’t this supposed to be something the new government could fix? Well of course they can’t fix that in a week,” Mr Murray said.
“But watch how the apologists in the leftie media are already turning around and saying that the federal government has nothing to do with this … oh so now cost of living is something the government can’t control?”
