Sky News host Chris Kenny says he is looking for the owner of a ring he found on the ground three weeks ago in Paddington in Sydney.

“It was in a little jewellers box, and inside, a diamond ring with an engraving,” he said.

Mr Kenny said he contacted the police about the ring but felt “no one would ever do much to find the owner”, and took it upon himself to find its rightful owner.

He said he rang the jeweller – but no one contacted them – went on the radio, and put articles in local newspapers.

“If you know anyone missing this ring, let me know here at Sky News,” he said.

“It's probably worth quite a few thousand dollars, I don't know, but it's bound to be of real sentimental value to someone.”
