Tyrone and Armagh to meet again in All Ireland qualifiers
over 2 years in The Irish Times
All-Ireland champions Tyrone have drawn Ulster neighbours Armagh in the senior football championship qualifiers. The tie is one of two all division one clashes as Mayo have also been paired with Monaghan.
Tyrone entered the qualifier route after defeat to Derry in the Ulster championship. Armagh were put out at the quarter-final stage.
Five players were sent off in an ill-tempered affait when Armagh hosted Tyrone in the league back in February.
Monaghan fared slightly better after reaching the Ulster semi-final, only to be defeated by Derry and they now travel to take on Mayo after last year’s All-Ireland finallists lost out in Connacht to Galway.
In the other two games drawn, Meath take on Clare while Cork will go up against Louth.
All games will be played on the weekend of the 4th/5th June. Counties drawn first have home advantage.
