Treasurer Josh Frydenberg says he was “very disappointed” concerning Malcolm Turnbull’s support for independent candidates.

Mr Frydenberg was asked by Sky News host Peter Stefanovic on his thoughts concerning Mr Turnbull’s “push for independents”.

“I was very disappointed by that,” Mr Frydenberg said.

“Because Monique Ryan had called Malcolm Turnbull a national disgrace, and you know, I doubt that Malcolm would be wanting to back someone in who called him a national disgrace.”
