Limerick were crowned Munster Under-20 hurling champions after a one point win over their neighbours Tipperary at the Gaelic Grounds on Wednesday evening. Aidan O’Connor scored nine points in the 1-25 to 2-18 win, to set up an All-Ireland final meeting in two weeks’ time against the winners of the Leinster decider between Wexford and Kilkenny. Leinster have identified the recently retired Seán O’Brien as one of the potential replacements for Denis Leamy as the province’s contact skills coach in the wake of his decision to relocate to Munster. Mike Prendergast has agreed a three-year contract to take over as Munster backs and attack coach ahead of the 2022-2023 season, replacing Stephen Larkham who returns to Australia.
