Sir, – Boris Becker has been sent to prison in England (“Boris Becker jailed for 2½ years for hiding assets to avoid paying debts”, World, April 29th).
What a waste of an extraordinary talent.
Would society (and Boris Becker ) be better served by two years of community service – teaching and inspiring kids in low-income communities the rudiments of his genius as a tennis player? Is this an opportunity lost? – Yours, etc,
