Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk is facing criticism today after it was revealed she invited her boyfriend to the first face-to-face meeting with Brisbane Olympics organisers.

Ms Palaszczuk’s partner, surgeon Dr Reza Adib, attended the one-hour meeting at Sydney's Sofitel, which included IOC President Thomas Bach.

The attendee list did not include Dr Adib, but photographs showed the surgeon sitting next to AOC Chief Executive Matt Carroll at the boardroom-style table.

The Premier's office watered down the inclusion – insisting it was nothing more than an “informal catch up”.
