Champions Cup quarter final fixtures confirmed

over 3 years in The Irish Times

The quarter-finals of the Champions Cup get underway on Saturday May 7th with Munster’s home clash with holders Stade Toulousain.
Thomond Park is hosting two Ed Sheeran concerts on Thursday May 5th and Friday May 6th, and with over 70,000 tickets sold it will take weeks for the pitch to be playable again.
Therefore that fixture takes place at the Aviva Stadium with kick-off at 2pm Irish time. While the eagerly-anticipated showdown between URC leaders Leinster and Premiership tabletoppers Leicester Tigers is scheduled for Welford Road at 4.30pm.
Also on Saturday, the Stade Marcel-Deflandre will be packed out once again for the confrontation between the 2021 finalists, Stade Rochelais, and Top14 front runners, Montpellier, who have reached the quarter-final stage for the first time since 2013.
Then on Sunday, the No 1 ranked team from Pool A and three-time finalists, Racing 92, will go head-to-head with Sale Sharks at the iconic Paris La Défense Arena.
All quarter-finals in both tournaments will be broadcast live on BT Sport. The highest-ranked clubs which qualify for the semi-finals will have home venue advantage.
