Current unemployment rate confirms the Coalition’s economic plan is ‘working’ Treasurer

about 2 years in news

Today's job numbers show the Morrison government's economic plan is working, according to Treasurer Josh Frydenberg.

Australia’s unemployment rate remains stable at four per cent.

Mr Frydenberg compared the unemployment rate under the Coalition to when Labor was in government, showing the improvement under the Liberal Party.

“Our economic plan is working; an economic plan that has helped steer Australia through the biggest economic shock since the great depression,” he said.

“If you think that's luck, you're wrong; it’s a success that belongs to 26 million Australians.”
