Liberal Senator Jim Molan says today it was clear to him what "choice" voters will face in the leadup to the federal election.

"The choice was between what you know and who you can trust - and I think for regional New South Wales, I think that's very, very, important," Mr Molan told Sky News host Chris Smith.

"I have seen good leaders, and I've seen bad leaders in the military.

"And I look at Scott Morrison, and I see a very, very good leader who is being attacked in the most appalling way."
