United States Studies Centre Chief Executive Simon Jackman says Republicans aim to “dent” any Joe Biden support amid blame on the President for rising oil prices.

“I expect we will shortly have, that is, a Republican House of Representatives, and potentially a Republican Senate,” he told Sky News Australia.

Mr Jackson says an upcoming mid-term election in the US will require President Joe Biden to address domestic issues including inflation, crime and immigration.
