Treasurer Josh Frydenberg says Vladimir Putin’s latest move brings an invasion one step closer.

“It’s not going to help to reduce the tensions in what is a dangerous and disturbing situation,” Mr Frydenberg told Sky News Australia.

“Vladimir Putin’s a strong man and he’s now trying to strong arm his neighbours.”
