Health and Wellness Minister, Dr Christopher Tufton, has been accused of discriminating against the unvaccinated by a group of notable Jamaicans. Among them is the reggae singer Tanya Stephens, who has urged him to resign. Last week, Tufton was facing a barrage of criticism for his announcement that the government would put together a calendar of events in which persons vaccinated against the novel coronavirus might participate. “There is no basis for this gigantic overreach… It’s my personal business. I am anti-mandate because I distrust this type of vaccine; I have no intention of taking it,” the forthright singer exclaimed.
