The Half Way Tree police have confirmed that the male driver who was involved in a hit and run accident which led to the death of a woman along Washington Boulevard, on Tuesday, January 25, is now in their custody. The accused, a taxi operator from the parish, reportedly turned himself over to the police in the company of his attorney, Anthony Williams, on Thursday, January 27.
