Residential Childcare Facilities Staff Benefit From Training

Staff of residential childcare facilities (RCCF) have benefited from a capacity-building workshop to enable them to respond to the needs of children in the protective system more effectively. The training was conducted over 14 weeks by the Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA) Institution Monitoring Services Unit and comprised 29 sessions covering the Child Care and Protection Act (CCPA), corporal punishment, standard of care for facilities, stress and critical incident management, absconding protocol, and other crucial areas.
