Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk is set to unveil her back to school plan today which could see the start of the first term delayed by up to two weeks.

The Premier initially flagged the possibility of delays on Friday - in order to give children aged 5-11 years-old more time to get vaccinated.

It's also expected Annastacia Palaszczuk will announce teachers deemed close contacts will be allowed to work remotely from home while self isolating.

Students are currently scheduled to return to school on January 24.
