The number of people killed in recent flooding in the Brazilian state of Bahia reached at least 20 by December 27, according to CNN Brazil. Over 470,000 people were reported to be impacted, with 358 injured, and thousands left displaced. The Governor of Bahia, Rui Costa, tweeted that they will “rebuild the lives” of those affected.
