No change to five month booster interval

The nation’s booster program will not be fast tracked for now as Australians are urged to wear a mask indoors ahead of Christmas.
It comes after an emergency National Cabinet meeting was held on Wednesday afternoon to discuss measures to slow the spread of Omicron across the country.
“There’s been plenty of discussion about whether the interval should be five months, four months, three months,” Prime Minister Scott Morrison said following the meeting.
“That will be a decisions for the vaccination experts at ATAGI, that is not a decision for myself as Prime Minister, or the premiers and chief ministers.
“The interval will be what the immunisation experts advise.”
