31-year-old Okiel Carvalho  was shot and killed during a gun attack in the Montego Hills area of St James on Friday, December 17. According to police reports, residents in the community alerted them after hearing loud explosions in the area shortly after 11 p.m., on Friday. Carvalho was found suffering from gunshot wounds when the lawmen arrived. He was rushed to the hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment.. The police have not yet established a motive for the murder. Investigations are ongoing.
