Many short changed after NDIS cutbacks

over 2 years in news

The National Disability Insurance Scheme is again under fire, with a spike in the number of people demanding their case be reviewed.

Many are finding their plans have been drastically cut back.

There has been a 21 per cent surge in NDIS appeals to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal in the past year, and 80 per cent of those were about cuts in plans.

“The NDIS is out of control because the government has said they want to reduce the amount of money spent on profoundly and severely impaired Australians,” Shadow NDIS Minister Bill Shorten said.
