‘Disgraceful’ treatment of Tim Paine and family
over 3 years in news
Outgoing Australian cricket captain Tim Paine has suffered a “tragic” end to his career and “disgraceful” treatment, according to Sky News host Chris Kenny.
Pat Cummins has been named the new Australian captain after Mr Paine resigned over a sexting scandal.
“The cricket board have failed their duty of care,” Mr Kenny said.
“They needed to stand by Paine, just like his family did; they needed to have the courage of their convictions.
“Sure, condemn the sexting, that was all done three years ago privately, but stand firm on how they handled it and remain supportive of Paine.”
