After months of lockdown, people in New Zealand’s biggest city can travel again for summer thanks to rising vaccination rates Aucklanders will be allowed to leave the city this summer after months in lockdown, the prime minister, Jacinda Ardern, has announced, but public health experts warn it could lead to a torrent of Covid-19 spreading into other parts of the country.The country recorded 194 new cases of Covid-19 in the community on Wednesday and the death of a man in his 60s who tested positive for Covid-19.
