Sporting behaviour?

Sir, – When did we become sports fans that boo an opponent (Cristiano Ronaldo) or endeavour to drown out the performance of the traditional Haka by the All Blacks?
It certainly isn’t becoming of a nation that prides itself on tradition and individuality.

Sir, – What a wonderful weekend for Irish rugby. Ireland’s performance against the All Blacks is up there with the best I’ve seen in recent memory. The players, the team and the management group really did Ireland proud.
It’s only a pity the fans let us down.
The crowds’ boos, shouts, chants and singing of the Fields of Athenry during the Haka made me cringe. When the All Blacks come to town it’s not just a game, it’s an occasion. Their culture embodies rugby. The Haka should be respected and met with silence.
England fans often boo, chant and sing Swing Low, Sweet Chariot during the Haka, we should be better than that!
