America has given Biden ‘failing grades across the board’

Republican Senator John Barrasso has criticised Joe Biden’s first year in the Oval Office - arguing the American people have given the President “failing grades across the board” in his first quarter report card.
“The American people have given this president failing grades across the board in his first quarter report card,” he told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos.
“Failing because of high costs in prices, failing because of an overrun border, failing because of the tragedy in the failure in Afghanistan.
“Only one in five Americans think the country is heading in the right direction and no matter what bill the president decides to sign tomorrow that’s not going to change the failing grade.”
The Senator went on to slam the Democrats’ Build Back Better Plan, arguing it will “harm Americans families” by forcing them to pay higher prices, higher taxes and see an increase in debt.
The comments come after ABC News released a new poll which has seen Joe Biden’s approval rating decline even further.
It found his approval rating has fallen to 41 per cent, down from 50 per cent in June.
If an election were held today, 51 per cent of registered voters would choose a Republican candidate and 41 per cent would choose a Democrat.
Last week a news poll carried out by USA Today and Suffolk University found nearly two thirds of Americans – 64 per cent – don’t want the President to run for a second term in 2024.
