The Australian’s Graham Lloyd says Scott Morrison had not choice but to release modelling, given he campaigned against Labor’s lack of at the last election.

Modelling for achieving net zero by 2050 was released last Friday by the government.

“The Morrison government campaigned very heavily against Labor at the last federal election on the basis that Labor couldn’t produce costings and couldn’t produce modelling for its plan to cut carbon emissions,” Mr Lloyd told Sky News Australia.

“So really it had no option but to release its own modelling.”
