Man charged over fatal Dublin shooting last year

A man has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in Dublin last year.
Thomas McCarthy (55) was shot at the front door of his mother’s home at Croftwood Park, Ballyfermot on July 27th 2020 and was pronouncded dead a short time later.
The father and grandfather, lived in the UK with his wife and children, but had returned to Ireland to visit relatives.
Gardaí arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the incident.
He is due is to appear at the Criminal Courts of Justice, Dublin on Thursday morning.
