Fast tracking nuclear subs an ‘all round good thing’

over 2 years in news

Herald Sun journalist Caleb Bond says the push to fast-track Australia's access to nuclear powered submarines is an “all round good thing”.

The Australian is reporting Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Defence Minister Peter Dutton are working with the United States and the United Kingdom to get nuclear submarines operating in Australia up to eight years earlier than expected.

“We're already spending billion upon billions upon billions on this anyway – fast tracking it is probably not a bad thing,” he said.
