The United States has confirmed a drone strike in Afghanistan claimed the lives of ten civilians including at least seven children.
America targeted a vehicle on August 29 in retaliation to the deadly blasts at Kabul airport by ISIS-K which killed at least 170 people as they tried to flee Afghanistan.
American officials say in the time leading up to the drone strike they had received approximately 60 different intelligence reports about threats towards US forces.
Speaking at the Pentagon, Commander General Kenneth McKenzie said the operation was a mistake and it was unlikely those in the vehicle were connected to ISIS-K.
