Harvey Norman rewards NSW nurses for efforts during lockdown

almost 3 years in news

Harvey Norman has rewarded nurses Kate and Steven with $2,000 each to spend on whatever they want in store or online for their efforts to help those in need during NSW's lockdown.

From the COVID-19 ICU ward, to the Emergency Ward, to the Paediatrics department nurses have been cast a role in this NSW lockdown that's a bit different to the norm.

With some exceptions, visitors are not allowed to see their hospitalised family and friends.

Kate and Steven are two of many nurses filling the void providing nursing care and support and assistance to those hospitalised; unable to see their loved ones.

Sky News host Paul Murray said he has "very good news" for the "incredibly big hearted" nurses Kate and Steven.

"The good people of Harvey Norman, from Katie and Gerry and the entire team at Harvey Norman, they're going to give each of those nurses a $2,000 gift voucher to buy whatever they want in any of the stores, online or in person.

"Thank you from Harvey Norman to the nurses who are delivering oh so much for people who really really need it right now."
