Liberal MP ‘I’m not sure the CBD can recover’ from another Victorian lockdown

As Victoria enters its sixth lockdown, Liberal MP Tim Smith says it will be "231 days" of lockdown by the end of it and he's not sure Melbourne's CBD can recover.
"This is a very dark night for so many thousands of Victorians," he told Sky News host Paul Murray.
"The Andrews Labor regime is destroying thousands of businesses each and every time they go into a lockdown.
"And yes of course they should fund the damage they're causing Victorian businesses."
Mr Smith said the Andrews Labor government should "come to the party" and "fund" the lockdowns from their "half a million dollar pay packets".
