Labor has a ‘fundamental problem’ backing coal

almost 3 years in news

Former Queensland Premier Campbell Newman says the Albanese Labor government has a “fundamental problem” backing coal, calling the suggestion the Coalition aren’t committed to the sector “nonsense”.

“The Coalition has all the runs on the board here,” Mr Newman told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“It’s got strong representation by MPs and senators in the resource states – people like Matt Canavan who are always pushing the coal issue.

“The suggestion that the Coalition isn’t committed to the sector is just nonsense.

“This is nonsense from Labor, it is just spin. They actually have a fundamental problem backing coal.”
