Aussies will not respond well to ‘being punished’ due to government incompetence

about 3 years in news

Former Labor Senator Stephen Conroy says the government should be improving the advertising campaign for its vaccine rollout instead of discussing the possibility of “punishing” people who have not been vaccinated.

“I’m just amazed, Scott Morrison has opposed interstate lockdowns for the last 12-18 months, and yet the first thing he now suggests is let’s lockdown people who haven’t had the vaccine,” he said.

“It’s just extraordinary, this bloke will say or do anything in a given moment to get himself through the day.

“We should be encouraging the vaccine take up Scott, not punishing people for not taking it, not locking them down in their state.

“So get your act together, get an advertising campaign going, stop sending contradictory messages across the airwaves.

“Australians will not respond well to being punished because the government are incompetent in their vaccine rollout”.
