Who is popular today?

I have always loved the Brit Awards. I’ve been lucky enough to attend them regularly since I worked for the music giant EMI almost 20 years ago. But when the latest invitation dropped, I felt nervous. This was the first big night out in more than a year since the pandemic hit and the event was part of a government experiment to explore how to get back to normal, which didn’t fill me with confidence. What would it be like to be in a big venue with thousands of other people and no social distancing or masks? How would we be safe? And the most terrifying question of all: how would I get into any of my “nice” clothes again? When it comes to woman versus Spanx, the struggle is real.
