Sir, – Laura Cahillane, a lecturer in constitutional law, would welcome a change in our Constitution authorising judges to decide whether support provided by the State to carers was reasonable (“Real alternative to ‘women in the home’ clause in Constitution now needed”, Opinion & Analysis, April 27th).
I, a citizen who wants to live in a representative democracy, would not. – Yours, etc,
