NSW Premier endorses Nationals candidate ahead of by election

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has endorsed Nationals candidate David Layzell ahead of the Upper Hunter by-election slated for May 22.
“Dave Layzell is an absolute natural. He is one of the community. I’ve been incredibly impressed by his ability to engage,” she said
The Upper Hunter seat was won by the Nationals in the last election by a margin of two per cent and is needed by the NSW Coalition in order to keep a majority government.
