NSW One Nation Leader Mark Latham says "everyone" would be "better off" if woke companies like ANZ would stop running "political campaigns" and not "fund up diversity and inclusion units" - instead focus on running their business properly.

"In a world of many weird things happening I've thought long and hard about the woke corporation", he told Sky News host Paul Murray.

"At one level there's absurdity - what would ANZ know about the political situation in Burma and why do they need to know about it and make a statement about it - like that's just silly.

“Companies like ANZ – didn’t we have a royal commission into how bad they treat their customers and they were charging people who were dead?

“So maybe if they got back to actually running their accounts and customer service properly … everyone will be better off, the shareholders are better off, the customers are better off, the nation is better off."
