NSW premier has already ‘surrendered’ the ‘fight’ for the Upper Hunter by election Latham

The Upper Hunter by-election will be a "real fight" but the difference between One Nation and Premier Gladys Berejiklian is the premier has already "surrendered", according to NSW One Nation Leader Mark Latham.

"This is a fight, a real fight," he told Sky News host Paul Murray.

"The difference between us and Gladys Berejiklian is she's already surrendered - she's already said publicly she's lost this by-election.

Mr Latham likened Ms Berejiklian's position on the matter to that of former Liberal leader in Western Australia Zak Kirkup.

"She's surrendered before the nominations have even opened, she's conceded defeat before anyone's even voted - and she has a similar policy to him - the race to close down coal-fired power stations and go 100 percent renewables as quickly as possible."
