Sir Elton John and Sir Michael Caine have joined forces in a new video by the UK’s National Health Service to encourage people to get vaccinated against COVID-19. The film shows Elton ‘auditioning’ for a promotional advert where he pretends to get the jab before bursting in to his 1983 hit I’m Still Standing. An unimpressed director tells him "we will let you know,” to which John replies, “Well, at this short notice you won’t find anyone bigger.” The film then cuts to Caine who says that the vaccine doesn’t hurt. “Not many people know that,” says Caine. The pair are both over 70 years old have been vaccinated by the NHS, an NHS statement said. More than 10 million people in England have already been vaccinated, and the advert is part of a drive to ask anyone aged 70 or over who has not yet been vaccinated to come forward to receive the jab.
