Footage posted to Instagram shows the “terrifying” scene as flames from the Wooroloo bushfire surrounded a house in Gidgegannup, Western Australia, on the night of February 1-2. Greg Whiteside, who filmed this footage, remained at the house as the fire approached, said Joanna Anderson, who posted the video. Whiteside “successfully defend our home,” Anderson said. Evacuation warnings remained in place on February 3, with Gidgegannup on the edge of the emergency area.
