Moscow Police Crack Down on Navalny Protesters

Thousands of protesters took to the streets across Russia on January 31 to call for the release of jailed opposition leader Alexei Navalny, the Moscow Times reported. Navalny’s organization called for the nationwide protests. It said protests were planned in more than 30 towns and cities across the country. This footage from Current Time shows Moscow police shoving a group of protesters linking arms together, and forcefully detaining several of them.
