AN unbeaten 93 from Michael Bracewell steered New Zealand A to a commanding position at stumps on day one of their second unofficial "Test"against West Indies A at Nelson, New Zealand on Friday.
New Zealand A closed on 264/4 behind Bracewell’s innings. The left-hander faced 166 deliveries and hit ten fours.
Tim Seifert, who played for the Trinbago Knight Riders in the 2020 Hero Caribbean Premier League T20 tournament, continued his rich run of form with 60. In the first unofficial "Test" between the two teams last week, Seifert struck a century.
Mark Chapman added to the total with 45 and Rachin Ravindra ended on 30 not out.
Left-arm spinner Fabian Allen was the best bowler for West Indies A with 2/39. Teenage Trinidadian fast bowler Jayden Seales took 1/27 and pacer Keemo Paul snatched 1/24.
