Body found in Santa Cruz

THE body of a woman, believed to be that of missing teen Ashanti Riley, was found this morning in Santa Cruz.
Police said they received information and around 8.05 am on Friday, members of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit went to a forested area in upper La Canoa, where the body had been found.
Police said the naked body was in a shallow watercourse approximately 60 feet from the road.
Riley, 18, of Lloyd Street, San Juan, was last seen on November 29, when she took a taxi to San Juan to meet her boyfriend and cousins to go toher grandmother's birthday celebrations in Cocorite.

Security-camera footage showed her getting into a blue Nissan Almera car.
The driver of the car was later arrested.
The Anti-Kidnapping Unit (AKU) and Homicide Bureau took over the investigation.
The discovery comes the day after another missing woman was found dead.

Krystal Primus-Espinoza, the mother of two, was found floating off the coast of Balandra on Thursday, the day after she failed to return home.
She was last seen driving her husband's van, which was found badly damaged on the beach, leading many to believe it had left the road and plummeted over a cliff.
