almost 4 years in news

Police in Scotland took to Twitter to reassure members of the public early in the morning of December 4 after residents mistook booming thunder during a snowstorm for “explosions.” Writing about the thundersnow just after 5 am, Police Scotland said: “We have received a number of calls regarding people concerned about explosions heard. Please do not be alarmed, we are currently experiencing thunder and lightning.” Twitter user @Em_E_Dee said this footage showed the scene in the town of Penicuik at 4.30 am. The thunder can clearly be heard. Credit: @Em_E_Dee via Storyful
