At least eight people have died amid heavy rainfall caused by Tropical Depression Eta in Honduras, local media reported on November 5. More than 500 families were evacuated from their homes, the report said. This footage was shared by @HondurasCopeco, the official Twitter account of the Civil Protection Institution of Honduras, and shows flooded streets and evacuations in San Pedro Sula, the capital of Cortés Department. Eta was downgraded from tropical storm to tropical depression on November 4 by the National Hurricane Center, which said that much of Central America was under warnings for life-threatening flash flooding.
