Trump’s racism is bad for white people too
almost 4 years in NY Daily
Through the decades, Donald Trump’s most remarkable talent has proven to be his ability to brew a potent mix of xenophobia, racism and personal shamelessness and sell it to the public. It is this superpower that allowed a man who inherited a multi-million dollar housing empire that discriminated against African-Americans to muse on national TV how much easier life would be if he were a “well-educated Black.” He became a political figure by channeling resentment at a Black president, feeding the fantasy that such a hue in such a role must be on some terms illegitimate. This talent allowed him to concoct a simplistic story about China ripping Americans off, Mexican workers stealing our jobs and coming to rape us besides and Muslims threatening our civilization by...simply existing.
