A vigil was held outside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, to remember George Floyd on what would have been his 47th birthday on October 14. Supporters of Floyd family gathered outside the arena and released black balloons, with some in the crowd shouting “Happy birthday, George.” Floyd’s family marked the day by returning to the street corner in Minneapolis where he was killed, whilst protesters in Portland sang Happy Birthday outside the city’s Revolution Hall.
