Royal Opera House in London is selling a David Hockney painting to stay afloat in wake of coronavirus shutdown

Britain’s premiere opera house is selling off a portrait of former chief Sir David Webster, painted by David Hockney, in order to stay afloat. “Portrait of Sir David Webster” will be offered for sale in London on Oct. 22, Christie’s auction house told the Associated Press. It’s expected to fetch between $14 million and $23 million.
