With more than a billion dollars pledged to make schools safe during the age of COVID-19, it’s no wonder many parents were shocked to learn class sizes are much larger than expected. A close examination of the math behind the funding plan shows the amount of money available to hire new teachers and decrease class sizes is much less than what parents have been led to believe.
