Footage from coastal Alabama shows overturned boats, damaged homes, downed trees, and widespread flooding after Hurricane Sally made landfall early Wednesday, September 16. The National Hurricane Center said Sally made landfall as a Category 2 storm near Gulf Shores, just west of Orange Beach, at 4:45 am local time and would bring “historic and catastrophic flooding in parts of northwest Florida and southern Alabama.” Photos and video from Orange Beach show displaced boats, widespread flooding, and damage to structures.
