Fire crews worked to contain the Chehalem Mountain Fire, which had burned more than 2,000 acres and was 50 percent contained by September 9. Fire officials issued several evacuation orders, including a level-three evacuation order for approximately 150 residents as the fire threatened multiple structures west of Sherwood and north of Newberg.
